Many e-commerce businesses start to worry during the last week of December, fearing that their sales will crumble after the holidays. Don’t let this happen to you! With the right strategy, you can bring in sales weeks after Christmas is over. Get your customers to come back in the new year with these handy tips:

  1. Send a coupon to all customers to entice them to shop post-Christmas. Whether or not this list of customers shopped with you recently, they may have extra cash lying around from gifts and are more likely to check out your store than if you didn’t send a quick promotional email.
  2. Another option is to send an exclusive code to all customers who did shop with you recently. Reward your loyal customers with a promotion to be used after Christmas to keep them coming back to you for their shopping needs!
  3. Lure your customers back to your store by offering all abandoned carts a small discount. Often times, customers will load up their shopping carts with items they intend to buy at a later date. Always put an expiration date on these coupons to create a sense of urgency. Customers are more likely to complete the purchase if there is an incentive attached, so go ahead and offer a small discount.
  4. Product launches always generate buzz and sales, so why not offer a new product in January? You’ll want to make sure you’re staying relevant and delivering what your customers need. If they’ve already shopped with you before, you’ll have a great chance of getting their business in the new year.
